1. GENERALIZED GOVERNANCE IMPLEMENTATION
This governance structure operates on a seasonal schedule with three-week voting cycles, promoting regular community engagement. Voting is carried out through the Agora contract; this contract is also used to make proposals (by the manager or an account with a sufficient number of votes) and execute successful proposals.
Delegation is carried out through the OP token contract. The implementation pattern creates two primary interaction paths: a delegation path through the OP contract and a governance path through the Agora contract. Users can either participate directly or delegate their voting power to others who can then vote/propose on their behalf. This dual-path system enables flexible participation while maintaining security through the Manager multisig's oversight of proposal creation.
The technical flow begins with users providing OP and interacting with either the OP contract for delegation or the OP Agora contract for direct voting/proposing. The Manager multisig serves as an additional security layer with proposal capabilities, creating a balanced system that combines direct user participation with managed oversight. This implementation ensures both accessibility for users and protocol security, while maintaining the core value capture mechanism of generalized governance.
